Volunteers

Volunteer for Nature?

Hagge Woods Trust has a team of volunteers who work alongside our Volunteer Coordinator to look after the community wildflower meadow and woodland, Three Hagges Wood Meadow.  We value their dedication, skill and enthusiasm.

In return our volunteers have the chance to work in a beautiful place with like-minded people, learn about our native trees and shrubs, explore the wildlife that lives there, gain new skills to enhance a CV, and to play a vital role in the life of the Wood-Meadow.

We offer a variety of roles to suit different abilities, interests and time availability:

  • Caring for the wood-meadow, mostly working outdoors.
  • Helping welcome visitors at events.
  • Helping with botanical and wildlife recording.
  • Helping with school visits.
  • Encouraging more people to come to our events and helping with marketing.
  • helping with administration and office based tasks.

What we offer our volunteers:

  • Training and support in learning new skills.
  • Learning from experts about nature.
  • invitations to events, talks and activities.
  • The chance to meet like-minded people.
  • Free tea and coffee each time you come.
